Govt committed to solve the problems of unemployed Youth of J&K – Shri R.S. Chibb
Shri R.S. Chibb , Hon’ble Minister for Technical Education, Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports, Jammu & Kashmir Govt, who is on a two day’s visit to Bangalore city met the students at Cavalier India – Kalyan Nagar. These students who are 120 in number are deputed by Technical Education department, J&K Govt, to undergo training in various job oriented modular/ vocational courses coming under the scheme of Skill Development of Youth of Jammu & Kashmir, under Skill Development Initiative Scheme, being funded by Government of India.
The Hon’ble Minister while addressing the distinguished guests, students and the management of the Institute highlighted the features of the scheme and thanked Dr Manmohan Singh, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and his Government for giving an opportunity to the young boys and girls of J&K State to undergo training in various short term modular/ vocational courses in the reputed Institutes of the country. The training is being provided free of cost to these students and all the expenses are being borne by the Government.
Shri Chibb also mentioned that the scheme is being personally monitored by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of J&K State Shri Umer Abdullah and is ensuring that the youth are being deputed in good technical Institutes of the country to get the proper training and the avenues for their placement as well. Under the scheme 6000 youth of J&K are being deputed to the reputed Institutes of the country and 2000 youth are getting training in various ITI’s within the State during the year 2010-11 and the same number will be trained during the year 2011-12. The department is also organizing Job fair these days in Jammu as well as in Srinagar which will last upto 22nd January in which students who have passed out from Polytechnics and ITI’s will get opportunity of appointment in many reputed companies / organizations.
Shri R.S.chibb hoped that the students will not only get the quality training in these Institutes but will also get a very good exposure while coming out of their homes and getting trained in such cosmopolitan cities. He also emphasized the students to make the best use of the training while being in Bangalore and stressed upon the management of the Institution to look for the placement of these students.
Shri Chibb further elaborated on the importance of the youth in the development of the country and said that they can play very important role for unity and integrity of the Nation. He further added that the city of Bangalore is very important educational hub of the country and asked the students from J&K to make best use of their stay in enhancing the technical skills

Brigader F.B.Khatri put the vote of thanks and ensured on behalf of management that the comfortable stay and the quality training will be provided to these students.
